Though, I gently point out to Dick that all the other Titans have families they go home to. It'd be a very good thing to encourage Rose to have the same, apart from the Titans. Especially since Daddy Dearest is likely to try to manipulate his way back into her life at some point.
"Rae knows what it's like to have someone twist her head up, it'll be okay," he said reassuringly as they walked up into the jet. Aww. I . . .I love this. It's just kind of wonderful, and I can't place why. It's just. In the DCU, people go nuts/get possessed/whatever all the time, and rarely do they just deal with the fact that it happens, and is a normal part of their life.
And the fact that Dick does just makes me happy. That's all.
Or I could just be fangirling it because it's a reference to the Era I love. That's entirely possible.
Rose was wonderful during this whole exchange - she was deliciously *responsible* for actions that weren't even her fault, remorseful, yet not self-pityingly so. It's a lovely mix.
Roy felt his chest tighten at seeing the girl he had entrusted his Lian to on numerous occasions, the same girl who had proceeded to try to kill one of his best friends. A perfectly justified reaction to have.
But Mia!!! Oh, Mia. Oh, Mia, Mia, Mia. I . . .it's just her to be forgiving of any and all past fuck-ups, right? And oh. Of course it is. *loves this characterization HARD.*
Also, I love the flip-flop of the Archers and the Bats here - That Dick&Mia are on the same side, as are Roy&Tim. It's a delicious plot point that makes perfect characterization point.
Then he remembered Lian trusting the girl Rose had been, remembered how good Joey had been.

Also, the conversation between Mia/Tim/Kon & Rose about getting the Titans back together made me all sorts of happy. It's just . . their determination. YES.
I might be able to convince him to come... at least to make sure I'm not going to kill anyone," Rose said with a black sense of humor.
