RP post for family, also lost-robin

From here.

Slade shook his head and picked up his cell phone, sending a text meassage to his son, daughter, wife, and lover, just in case any of them decided to come by the penthouse in the next couple of hours. [Ex-robin crashed on the couch.]

//Now, start thinking about how in hell you're going to explain to Wintergreen that you offered the boy a job, Wilson.//

Jason blinked, a bit surprised, but then he tilted his head, considering. "I c'n definitely see that." he nodded, and kept his mind from drawing parallels between Alfred and Bruce and Wintergreen and Slade.

It hurt his brain.

Slade chuckled softly, and probably made things worse for the brat almost immediately. "We do know the parallels people draw between the Bat and I, so it's vaguely amusing. Though Wayne wound up with Pennyworth much younger than I met Wintergreen."

Jason snickered. "God, I hope somebody says that to him sometime." he grinned. "Bruce, not Alfred, Alfred prolly already is aware of the situational similarities." his voice slipped into a perfect imitation of Alfred's dry English bite.

The food was set on the table and at Slade's indication he should help himself, he did, though he was careful not to take too much, or to eat too quickly. He forced himself to chew moderately, knowing otherwise he'd see it again in short order.

It was *good*!

Slade settled in to the meal, keeping a light attention on the boy to make sure he wasn't going to do anything stupid with the food--like bolt it--then struck up a conversation with his wife to fill the brat's ears with something as close to normal as he'd probably heard in a good while.

Everything else could wait.
