Part III

Kid Flash skidded to a stop in the middle of a Pennsylvania field and brought his comm. to his mouth without ever bothering to listen to the message. "Cyborg, Kid Flash. I'm in the middle of finding the JSA reservists, 'cause I know what you're calling about. I can't come in 'til I'm done."

*whimpers.* Oh, Bart -

Do you know how much I adore you for making Bart's role so very important here - yes, he's a Titan, but he's also dealing with *his* legacy - it's such a delicious juxtaposition to the Robin legacy that Tim's trying to live up to. As the Robin legacy is squandered and goes straight down the crapper, despite Tim's best intentions - the Flash legacy lives on. *adores.*

He sighed, nodded, and headed for the hangar, Gar walking--//not bounding or flying or anything else, just... walking//--at his side.

Oh, my poor heart. You couldn't have picked a better image to show the way this has ripped them apart.

//NO! Not on their own, not now, not again. No one goes anywhere alone. Not until we know who did this, and why.//

Oh, Tim - it's a perfectly good protocol that would be excellent - except for the fact that it won't do a damn bit of good considering the people you're up against.

"Robin, it's Mia," her voice was shaking, and his mild annoyance over the breach in protocol didn't last past her first words. "Is... is the all-call about the Outsiders?"

OH - Mia ripped my heart out all over again. It's so her to chose GA over The Titans, because yeah, the Titans are family, and the fact that she greets Robin with "it's Mia" shows that she has grown to consider them that - BUT, GA is more so and . . .

*contemplates every canon conversation Mia and Roy ever had,* OH, GOD, Mia, I'm so very, very sorry.

*hugs them.* Not only is she hurting for GA, but the disappearance/possible guilt of the man who's name she wears has to hurt her only slightly less than Dick's disappearance hurts Tim.

"Cassie, come in." He ordered, feeling Robin's ice-cold walls drop around him at her pushing, and oh, he welcomed it, welcomed the detachment from everything he had no time to deal with.

Oh, Tim, I understand, but the road to Batman 2.0 is how Dick landed in the mess he's in. Resist the urge.

On the other hand, Cassie, you stupid wench, when there's all call, just heed it and quit trying to make it about yourself, you arrogant bitch.

Sorry. Did I mention that you rock at characterization? Because yes.

"It's bad, Leonid, Pantha." His comm. chimed again, and Argent's shaken voice came out of it. "Someone come get me.". . . "That's why Red Star had to bring me in, I couldn't fly..."

*OWCH.* All those sweet, brotherly affection/lustful urges that she had towards Arsenal hit her full force?

Yeah, this made me cry too.

//She didn't find them,// he realized, and it hit him hard.

You're going to be hit all the harder, kid.

"Can do. Is K--" the sudden surge of that hope was like a knife, especially when he had to answer.

"No."

It wouldn't hurt so much if a.) I don't have the dreadful feeling you're going to kill Kon too and b.) I didn't know that Kon and KF are the last two mentally competent, healthy anchors that Tim has left.

I adored the scenes of the Titans gathering - while I appreciated their frustration and the sense that, for some of them, this Robin kid wasn't THE ROBIN, and how dare they be called for something THIS important, then be left waiting? - I also understood only wanting to go through this once.

"Raven's got reason, Cassie, okay?"

"No, it's not--"

*viciously slaps Cassie.* Somethings really aren't about you, my dear self- centered bitch. Do shut up.

*revels in the Cassie hate.*
