That is so perfectly true her own private thoughts playing over other events that part confuses me though, what was she mentally referencing?

BoP, Gorilla City and Dino Island team ups with Slade...we hinted around it earlier...but the UST from those issues is definitely there. Slade's disgust at the League killed it for him, but she remembers clearly the way they interacted and is upset for 'misreading' him.
