Okay, skipping the sex for now and jumping straight to the end. What are you thinking Slade? He's going to run into someone and it isn't going to be pretty.
*snickerfits* "What are you thinking, Slade?" was my first reaction too, honestly. But he didn't send Dick, he sent Renegade. And with some very strict orders about what to do and what not to do. But you're right. Pretty is SOOO not on the menu.
Personally I'm hoping its not Batman.
*promises not*
I think Slade needs to be close to Dick when that revalation occurs. The Bat needs to see the full change in Dick That is just me of course.
Might just be you, but it's entirely right.
Now the sex. I love them in the shower. The mental image of Dick pressed against Slade under the spray and Slade leaning down to kiss him is just damn hot.
Wasn't it, though? I needed a shower after that!
Dick's utter submission and need to please while being please is just perfect in all degrees. I adore the idea of him pressed against the shower wall with his arms above his head and his legs splayed open.
He's... well, he's Dick, with Slade. It's an addictive sort of image, yes.
I agree with Nightwing_subs though, that bed needs to be used by the two of them.
We'll see--it's not like they haven't used it, after all...
Canary's reaction to finding out about Dick and Slade was perfect, being angry at Slade and Dick while while concerned for Roy.
Yeah. Neither one of us can see Dinah reacting any other way.
The way Roy phrases it when she confronts him with it. I'm almost positive she was expecting surprise and then to get "Did I know what? That Slade owns him just as much as Dick owns me? Yes, Dinah. It's a little hard to miss." came as a bit of a shock.
Yeah, she really, really wasn't expecting that, and she didn't take it well, either.
I can't believe she didn't know. Talk about oblivious. It's pretty clear that Slade owns Dick heart and soul. Why did she think Dick was won over and working for him in the first place?
Hm. I wanna see Filly's answer to that myself, actually. And it's not so much obliviousness as that she hadn't seen them behave like lovers. Slade wasn't that trusting of her, and well, Dick and she don't get along, so she was staying the hell away from him, too. Easy to miss, when it's not in sight.
Her line about "Always knew from your talk about the Titans that Slade was fascinated with Dick...but thought it was the Batman/Robin kind of relationship, not..." he shivered violently, her own private thoughts playing over other events. That is so perfectly true "her own private thoughts playing over other events" that part confuses me though, what was she mentally referencing?
*chuckle* The Canary and the Mercenary have a history, and she's a little confused/hurt right now. And yeah, she didn't like the idea at all.
The tiny part with Rose and Roy at the end was just hilarious. I love Rose's eagerness to hear embarrasing tales about her 'older brother'. It was very heart warming in a way.
*grins* Rose is a sweet little sociopath, yes. And Roy needed something to calm himself down with. He was hurting like crazy, after all.
Final comments about the part with Ollie and Hal. I'm so glad Hal is there for him or Ollie would be loosing it. He's trying so hard to keep things in check and he's slowly cracking under the pressure. It's just heartbreaking.
It is heartbreaking. He's been so, SO badly hurt--and none of it's his fault!--and we're going to hurt you some more, here before long.
I'm glad he's on the right track though even if he got derailed by thinking about Cheshire. He's right though they would never work together on anything and without knowing that Slade's MO has changed since taking in Dick they would have no real way to know it was Slade.
People are free to disagree with me, but that's how I see the conversation going. *nod*
