Re: Part U

This made me squee outloud with glee. It's kind of wonderful and fabulous. And it highlights that Momma Dinah personality I love, even in the midst of a conversation that alluded very much to the . .. mmmm. . . respect/attraction/otp of wrongness that exists between them. I love that her need to protect someone that she's known for such a short time overshadowed any and all else. . .because it's so very shades of what came before with Roy.

Thank you. Dinah's protective streak is one of the things I love most from her…she's a defender in most every incarnation.

On the other hand, there's something wrong with me. As much grief as I give Dick for his issues, I pretty much wanted Slade/Dinah to have a quickie then and there. And I. . would have been totally okay with that. Despite the men that are waiting back home. Despite any and all repercussions. A celebration of sorts to welcome sanity back. Poor Dick. I'm sorry I have double standards, Short Pants.

And yeah…but I'm always looking for an excuse to slide her under him…against him…in his arms…

I blame Filly. For making me enjoy Dinah/Slade. Not for the double standards, which are all me.

*bows* I firmly take the blame.

I like this line very much. I think it outranks the Kon calming Tim's nightmare with his touch and taste as my favorite line of this story. It's so TMB-ish. And cocky. And fun. All things that Slade should be at his best.

Yay!!!! I absolutely love Dixon as his writer, second only to Wolfman…and this was very Dixon.

*giggles.* Oh, it's funny/tragic, because it's so true.

Yes, it is.

*giggle.*

They seem to be humorous when I put them together out of combat or bed.

Good girl. I liked this line, because it showed Dinah fully accepting all that Slade is - she took him at his word, knowing he is honorable, she had a conversation with him, appealing to his love of his family, and in the end, she acknowledged that he was an assassin. It makes their unspoken attraction all the more . . . mmmm. . . fun? . . .that she understands/wants him while knowing exactly who he is.

*nods* As I slowly come to accept that my canon comicverse Dinah can bend her morals that far…and her kicking Savant's ass is what did it…she does know just what he is…and feels so much more sympathy for Roy over Cheshire now.

*G* Oh, Slade. I like you when you are wicked.

So does Dinah…and she can't help that Slade wraps up a lot of what she loves best from the two men she's involved with.

So, I tried, and failed, to read this as anything than Kon went to go find Mia while covered in Tim Residue. Hmm.

And you know…that doesn't seem to distress Mia at the least. She's put a lot of her own happiness in seeing Tim happy…it scares me how tight the Robin and Speedy bond is there.

Also, it's very sweet of Kon to go find Mia. Good friend - it's OH. OH. It's the YJ Kon that stopped Cissie from Killing Scum Guy and hung out with her and Cassie at the Mall during her crisis. Except grown up. Awww.

Kon is the best friend any hero can have…I'm seeing that. Now if I can just find a YJ torrent, to flesh out my memory, rather than dig thru the boxes…

Oh, Mia. I'm so very sorry.

Can we tell I'm boning back up on her history?

Oh. . .ow. Also, that hurt. Really a lot. Makes good sense, though.

And I hate hate hate that she was so abused…but dammit, she made my day when she pulled that knife on her pimp.

*g* I love how Kon TRIES to be patient, then gives up. So gloriously him.

It is very him.

*snicker.*

*grins* Yena got me there. My defense: she's been admiring Dinah a lot.

Oh, precious. It's okay. They're going to heal you. At least I hope so. *hugs her tight.*

*whistles innocently, looking at current fic piece*
