Kyle is the utter romantic sap...and I got teary eyed and had trouble bringing Connor into focus to write that bit.
Roy/Dick = perfect, I agree.
I hope to see more of it emerge, but it may not happen til after the holiday. I'm heading out the day after tomorrow and she is still in exile.
