The image of this alone makes me glad I was up late enough to read this hot off the presses. Because, damn. It implies both love and barely containable lust at the same time. It's. . . Dick and Roy, the way we know they feel about each other, summed up in one sentence. Or technically, half a sentence.

Every line in this story paints such a vivid picture - which is imperative in kink fic,even more so than your run of the mill fics - but this is one of my favorite "pictures" from this story. Roy says he's been needing this, and we know that Dick has seen that, but this shows that *this* Dick wants this as much as Roy does.

This completely works for me from Roy's POV, because trying to show Dick's POV would get in the way. And we'd be denied scenes like this:.... As I mentioned in IM, seeing Dick through Roy's eyes made the story all the much more hotter. And yum.
I had to make myself cut that and cut that and cut that before it sounded like Roy and not like a Nightwing-obsessed fangirl. I'm overjoyed that it worked the way I wanted it to.
*flails.* You can't honestly expect me to have words for that, right? Because. . .I need fan art for this. And I adore the fact that here, with Roy collared beneath him, Dick feels free enough to be this casual - because even good, sane Dick is guarded. But not with Roy. Awww.
