*Speed*, universe blurring in my ears for a fraction of a second before Slade's mouth is on mine, his hands lifting me, held in midair and the last of my laughter bubbling into his mouth.
I have seen him move so quickly before, very nearly dodging a bullet. He has never used his speed on me save when he thought it necessary.
Not something I want to think about now, with the water soaking my hair, slipping between us to slick skin and Slade's hands so big on me. One more easy thing to kiss him back, one hand fisted in his hair to keep him here, wrapping my legs around his waist to get a little leverage.
