The two of them finally surfaced, Addie's hair slick with water and dripping on her shoulders, Slade's rubbed mostly dry and forced back to decent behavior, only to find the rest of the penthouse empty, but with more than enough indications that Wintergreen would be back later.
Their outine of the last weeks for breakfast went on as usual, and then it was settling to work... but with much more contact on both their parts.
