Wry smile Joe was always an angel. Grant on the other hand, was a bit of a holy terror. Too much my kid. Though where Joe gets the sweetness I have no idea, it surely wasn't from Addie.

Most cases is true enough, I guess. Mine wasn't worth the powder and lead it'd have taken to shoot him, after all.

My stepmother's second husband, though, was a good man, and taught me a lot.
