She said it.
To someone else, in public.
She called me her husband again.

Oh, only because for the last three decades or so (barring the years she was dead) she was fairly vicious about reminding me and everyone else she was my ex-wife.

Things have been better since she came back--much better.
But that... that was new.

There had to be a reason for her to come back.

Back on the topic of your chat with my wife... Thank you for being the catalyst to warn me that she... hasn't dealt with some leftover trauma.
Oh, this is going to be fun to deal with, God damn it to hell and back.

Think we're all right there with her on that shit.
Always is.

She spent quite a while both insane and knowing that she was. Among the things she did specifically to hurt me is torturing my lover.
She was still insane when she died, and obviously, she really hasn't had time to deal with the fact that she's not insane anymore.
Convincing my psy-ops wife that she needs to talk to someone... *sigh*
LOCKED
Hell, if they can convince me to "talk to someone" anything is possible.
Re: LOCKED
...Good point. *wry look* Wish me luck?
OOC: you're going to be getting the default icon for a while b/c I'm posting from yahoo. Just imagine it's one of the unmasked ones?
Re: LOCKED
If you think it'll help.
OOC: NP. I have a good imagination.
Re: LOCKED
Thanks.
Re: LOCKED
Re: LOCKED
But I trust my wife, despite what she said.
I also know why she's not trusting herself, and
it's my faultit's not something that's there anymore. She got dosed with a chemical cocktail that drove her mad. It's not in her blood anymore, and... I thought she was all right.
But we didn't have time to deal with anything before we went after the HIVE, and--
Obviously she's not.

Re: LOCKED
Recovering from insanity seems to be a goddamned survival skill in the part of the world I run in.
Between my temporary bouts with post-resurrection madness, Joe's... Joe is doing fine, even if he is doubting himself too much after what he was used to do.
Rose seems to be coming back from her bout with it well. Now I just have to work on Addie.
...And keep my eye on some of the Titans. Those kids are broken in ways that make me very uneasy, right now, from the originals down to the newest ones.
Re: LOCKED
You don't recover because it just keeps getting forced on you day in and day out. When the hospitals are run by the government and mental illness is punishable by imprisonment or worse. No one gets help. You just give up on getting better if it ever does happen.
Re: LOCKED
There are days that the damned crazy telepaths, random Wednesday alien invasions, extra-dimensional evil entities, and swarms of random ninja and yakuza don't seem so bad in comparison to what might be.
Today's one of them.
Come take a vacation over here.
Re: LOCKED
One false move on the street, huff too much of that odorless, colorless gas and you lose all bets. I'll take something I can see coming any day over that bullshit.
Re: LOCKED
*wonders if odorless and colorless applies to his senses of taste and sight and smell, but doesn't voice the question--also, never wants to find out.*
I would too. No doubt on it.
Re: LOCKED
Re: LOCKED
And I'm glad you don't as well.
I can't imagine having kids in a world like that one, it'd drive me crazier than most people think I am.
Re: LOCKED
Drives me crazy enough now without the gas. Somehow my record was nice enough to follow me along with some of the more annoying bastards from home.
Re: LOCKED
Hm. Wonder if an ally of mine might be able to help you with that... *thoughtful*
And don't kids drive everyone crazy?
Re: LOCKED

I've got a pouch to stop nightmares made by some vouldun priest or something. Helps when I sleep but not the ones I get awake.
Was talking more about the cops shooting at them. The kids are the least of my hassle most days.
no subject
Huh. That would come in useful, but no, nothing stops what you see when you blink wrong and you're back somewhere you never wanted to see again.
Aaah. *nods*
no subject
No, nothing does unfortunately. My mind doesn't help that much either.
Smiles proudly. My kids are angels.
no subject
Nor here.
Wry smile Joe was always an angel. Grant on the other hand, was a bit of a holy terror. Too much my kid. Though where Joe gets the sweetness I have no idea, it surely wasn't from Addie.

Think the boy is going to be like that when he starts walking. Swear the women cursed him by giving him my name.

My stepmother's second husband, though, was a good man, and taught me a lot.
