After you get drove insane you're never alright again even after it gets better. Twenty years and I'm still not alright with it. Might be easier for her to change since it was a chemical did it to her.

Recovering from insanity seems to be a goddamned survival skill in the part of the world I run in.

Between my temporary bouts with post-resurrection madness, Joe's... Joe is doing fine, even if he is doubting himself too much after what he was used to do.

Rose seems to be coming back from her bout with it well. Now I just have to work on Addie.

...And keep my eye on some of the Titans. Those kids are broken in ways that make me very uneasy, right now, from the originals down to the newest ones.

I live where 2/3rds of the entire population is insane from poison gas let alone the people who've seen people eaten alive, had family hauled off by the government or went through the war.

You don't recover because it just keeps getting forced on you day in and day out. When the hospitals are run by the government and mental illness is punishable by imprisonment or worse. No one gets help. You just give up on getting better if it ever does happen.

There are days that the damned crazy telepaths, random Wednesday alien invasions, extra-dimensional evil entities, and swarms of random ninja and yakuza don't seem so bad in comparison to what might be.

At least the enemy is known. I'd prefer it over shooting friends in the head when they come awake and try to take a bite out of you or seeing people dragged down and eaten alive like some bad 50's horror film.

One false move on the street, huff too much of that odorless, colorless gas and you lose all bets. I'll take something I can see coming any day over that bullshit.

I'd wonder that too. It sounds kind of like the hell-world I stumbled into, or one of Rose's visions.

I can't imagine having kids in a world like that one, it'd drive me crazier than most people think I am.

Trapped in my nightmares crosses my mind sometimes.

Drives me crazy enough now without the gas. Somehow my record was nice enough to follow me along with some of the more annoying bastards from home.
