First: Slade hold loved ones as hostage to get unwilling cooperation. Second: Slade gives loved one emotional ammunition to break Dinah down.
That's as far as we've gotten so far. But, I will point to Long Bow Hunters to show that this woman does not stay broken for long. I also point to the fact she has entered deals with honorable foes in the past, to accomplish greater goods.
She sees the crumbling of the League as personally her fault. Nevermind that others did a lot of the manipulating...she failed to live up to her parents'legacy. Now, or once she stops looking through the guilt haze, she has to find a way to fix it....
That's the mindset I'm dealing with at this point, so I hope that clarifies a little of where I will be working from.
