*giggles.* I love again how their reactions to the situations demonstrate how different they are. Dick's all, "HURRY," and Roy's all, "We've been here before." *snicker.* I love them. And even more when their differences compliment one another, personality wise.
They are a cute couple with different personalities…and I have fun stepping into Roy's brain on occasion and seeing it for myself *g*
I plan to insert much, much pervy commentary about the greatness of Mia/Tim/Kon later, but before I do that, I just really wanted to say that I stand in awed amazement of how well you've rendered these two guys in particular. You took two characters who have pathetically little interaction - which is a crying shame, given their shared legacies - and woven a story in which I truly believe they are friends. That's just all sorts of Wow. I mean, to me, Tim and Mia in canon are teammates, and eh, not very close ones. I think they both might actually be closer to Gar and/or Kory, which is weird. But you managed to make them buddies in a way that is still *in character* and feels *right.* It's one of those fanfic events where you read and go, "Goddammit, canon, this is how it should be, because this is how these people are." And I love that. I think, of the entire Happy Verse, it's the natural flow of friendship between them that is my absolute favorite thing.
That…makes me go insane with love of both your feedback and Yena's ability to bounce me such good character interaction. Because I see this as logical flow for this universe too.
Well, aside from THE KON.
THE KON is the ruler of Happyverse…at least for Christmas. *smiles in glee at planned future holidays.
That reminds me - now that everyone's in the know. . .there are plenty of opportunities for Cave!Sex. And with it right there it'd kinda be a shame if no one takes advantage of that. *g*
Hmm…Kyle/Connor and Tim/Kon…only couples that haven't been there-done that.
Oh, Timmy, precious. This makes me rather deliriously happy, given the evilness of current canon. *beats canon with a stick.*
Also, the fact that a Robin - even when not fully in costume - is having difficulty containing his happiness when he's supposed to, technically, be practicing the fine art of concealment - which must be Bat Skill Number 1 or 2 - just further proves the OTP! of them. Oh, how I love.
Or, alternately, Robins are supposed to be happy, so screw you, DC. *hates DC. lots.*
I agree totally with you on every point you just made. As much as I love my angst, as much as I love to see a character taxed and tried…they have done horrible things to the Bright Bird…and it is SO WRONG!
*snicker.* Part of me kinda believes Jim just goes home, has a nice glass of (insert alcohol of choice) and contemplates the complete insanity of his life. And then has a nice long laugh.
Jim and Aunt May have long amusing phone calls….
*giggle.* Poor Alfred.
Just wait…it gets better.
And yes, the children are more restrained. They're also more sane. This is why Mia/Tim/Kon would work. . .if the three most emotionally screwed up in the family can. . .
This other threesome is so just…not right!!!! *giggle* And now, we'd just be predictable to do that…so much more challenge to write platonic relationships
So. Um. I misread this at first, and read it as Ollie flirting with both Jim and Babs. And that. . .left interesting mental images.
That's okay…thanksgiving left me with an odd urge to write a Jim/Helena fling….
Um . . .
*g*
Yeah, so Jim's reactions toward Ollie and Ollie digging around with his political stuff? Amusing as hell. I pretty much could read a whole story with Ollie driving Jim Gordon nuts with his political rantings. I have no idea why that story would exist, but I think it would be fun.
I had fun images of that myself, but know bumpkiss about writing good political convos.
