You won me the moment you gave me that hand up off the ground. Everything after that... just convinced me more that I wanted you to stay in my life. By the time that night in Japan rolled around, I still wasn't sure why you had stayed, but I wanted you to.

I stayed because I could see you were not like other men, that you were that one percent that shines like a beacon...or burns out in an instant. I wished to see you follow the former path, and suspected it would not be a difficult one...if you could could survive your superior officers.

As for the choice I made in regard to you...maybe I was looking for someone alike enough to me that I could finally have someone to truly call friend, yet different enough to challenge me as well.
