Discovery, or fanfic again
May. 30th, 2006 05:03 pm![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
I said I posted this to my lj, so I probably ought to do so.
This is NC-17, it's comic-book slash (male/male) fanfic, and if that's not your cup of tea (or you're underage, and you know exactly who I'm talking to, you!) please to leave now.
Thanks go out to amarin_rose and the_artist_19 who caught dozens of errors in characterization, repitivity, and plain lack of creativity.
Oh. Yeah. This is that sequel to Puberty, the Tim/Kon crack fic.
Title: Discovery
Pairing: Tim/Kon
Rating: NC-17

Date: 2006-06-05 01:27 pm (UTC)*g* I'm never sure if how I write sex works as well for anyone else as it does for me, but when I get feedback like this, I think it can't be too bad (and actually may be as hot as I thought it was when I wrote it.)

No, is it a plane?
No, its SUPER PIMP! Able to pimp out both cousins at the same time, and collect the money in a single bound....His only weakness is the bling kept around his neck, take it off and he'll surely die.
oh wow, I should learn to be good, but we'll save that for another day...

I started off mildly curious about this pairing and you went and made me a fan.

Date: 2006-10-08 06:35 am (UTC)Thanks! I'm always delighted to hear feedback on this set!
*snicker* Yeah. He does. It's just one of those things.
*grin* I love Tim-and-Kon, probably unhealthly much, and I'm always absolutely squeeful to convert people to the pairing, as they so very much belong together.
Part Kon
Date: 2007-01-05 11:17 pm (UTC)I love, love, love Kon's internal dialog. He felt so extremely teenage-guyish. His early frustration at having the (relative) comfort of his teenage world turned on its ear. . . followed by the slow dawning of the undeniable truth being fought with Kon-gusto. . and the eventual surrender to what they both wanted was tremendously well written. It really felt like I was inside Kon's head, so vividly were his thoughts described.
(merely) A few of my favorite lines from him:
/Oh. That damned train. 15 miles away and it sounds like it’s right in my ear and scares me half to death.//
*sigh.* I wish Smallville would do things like that. Because it makes so much sense for someone just coming into such extraordinary powers would have these reactions. In context of the story it works so well because it's one of a series of tiny, world-building events that makes the landscape of your story so rich, full and three-dimensional.
He wasn’t gay, he liked girls and women just fine thankyouverymuch, and he’d be a hell of a lot happier if his wet dreams would quit featuring his best friend, please!
Much the way I imagine the situation feels for a teenage boy. ;)
He felt himself shake, realized he'd wrapped his hand around himself, jerking himself off at the same pace Tim'd used.
Kon, honey? That's not just a clue you're infatuated. It's a huge, freaking neon sign.
He didn't want to change how he thought of himself, but when you're getting off thinking about your best (and very male) friend fucking you, there's a little problem with thinking you're straight.
*gigglesnortflail.* Oh, Kon, just a tad.
//You’d think teachers could be a little understanding when a guy’s trying to figure out how his whole life can get turned upside down by something that isn’t even his choice... but no.//
*g* It's good to know that teachers in the town that gave us Superman weren't any more kind than the 99% of the rest of the world's.
The release had barely taken the edge off, and Tim’s blue eyes had once again been what drove him over.
*G* Of course.
He slid his upper hand over Tim’s shoulder, feeling smooth skin over hard muscle--and then catching the different texture of the scars littered across it...
Scar Kink FTW.
Re: Part Kon
Date: 2007-01-06 02:18 am (UTC)Wrote it before Crisis ended, praise gods. Or I'd have cried too hard to write it.
I love, love, love Kon's internal dialog. He felt so extremely teenage-guyish.
Thank you thank you! *beams*

Wow. Thank you SO much. That's the buildup I was after.
It really felt like I was inside Kon's head, so vividly were his thoughts described.
And thank you again. That's what I was aiming for. *beam*

*bounces up and down and squees* Thank you so much! Figuring out what'd scared him awake was interesting.
Much the way I imagine the situation feels for a teenage boy. ;)
Yeah. Pretty much, that's how I think it ought to go...
Kon, honey? That's not just a clue you're infatuated. It's a huge, freaking neon sign.
Well, yeah. But he's kind-of in denial.
*gigglesnortflail.* Oh, Kon, just a tad.
Just a bitty-bit. And the marianas trench is a small crack in the pavement.
*g* It's good to know that teachers in the town that gave us Superman weren't any more kind than the 99% of the rest of the world's.
Nope, and most of them are still right there.
*G* Of course.
Freaked him the hell out, too.
Scar Kink FTW.
So. Much. Yes.
Part Tim
Date: 2007-01-05 11:18 pm (UTC)Such wonderful layers you've woven here.
Again, merely a few lines of his that I loved;
non-linear, disorganized, chaotic array of flashes of memory ripped through him, dragging out emotions as they whipsawed through his mind, leaving his heart as raw as it had been while he washed the traces of their encounter from his skin
Oh, my merciful heavens, but this was perfect. It's such a TIM-description of having his heart-broken in two.
=It’s too long between weekends as it is, if he didn’t want to see me at all, I... don’t know what I’d do.=
Gods, but it's amazing how simultaneously wonderful/agonizing the Bats can be when they drop the Batty disguise and to thine ownselves are true. OW.
HA! to the Selina+Timmy exchange. *potentially adds to 12 days of crack pairings.* I loved the Selina voice you captured. It was the perfect mix of warm/seductive/naughty/caring that defines the character for me.
You’re just the (dirty little) secret he wishes he didn’t have to keep./
*cries for him.* Ah, such a young little Robin, and yet the feelings of self doubt and loathing start to creep in. Fight it, precious.
It was interesting how easily hope turned to bitterness, he noted idly.
I. . . am possibly going to steal that for iconage, I think. It sums up DC so well. Also, it was a gloriously Timmy thought to have. So self aware.
Bitter, bitter laughter on his ears, and if the expression was a knife that sound was a gunshot wound
Such a pretty play on words. And it seems appropriately Battish to make an analogy based on knife wounds and gunshot wounds. :)
Such pretty smut, too. Such pretty, in character smut. Kon moaned, not soft, and bucked back against him again, //Oh... oh, yes...// trying to get him deeper, get more... the angle wasn’t right, he needed--"Tim, more..." he begged, sure Tim would know how to make this perfect.. is a glorious mental image, but more importantly, sums up the person that Tim is, the person that Kon is, and how they relate to each other so well.
This, again, was wonderful. It captured Kon/Tim perfectly.
Re: Part Tim
Date: 2007-01-06 02:59 am (UTC)*cuddles the Timmy* He really needs them.
I loved the way you returned to the hopeful versus pragmatic voice.
Thanks. It was kind of an integral part of the first one's style, so it had to be re-used. And it works for Tim's complicated little brain.
I don't think I mentioned it for "Puberty," but the voices, in addition to being Tim versus Robin and hopeful versus practical, work very well as YJ!Tim versus Titans!Tim. Titans!Tim is more sober, more Battish - even as he is obstensibly closer to Kon. And when Kon mentioned about missing his YJ!Tim's smile, it just gave me great glee because it secreted the fact that little YJ!Tim was crying out for Kon as much as Kon was wanting that part of Tim to come back.
*squeals* You GOT it! Yougotityougotityougotit!!!!! *hugs you tight*
Such wonderful layers you've woven here.
This? Is why I love it to bits when you read my stuff.
Again, merely a few lines of his that I loved;
*beams at you*
Oh, my merciful heavens, but this was perfect. It's such a TIM-description of having his heart-broken in two.
Thank you so very, very much. *beams* Tim has such hatred for being out of control/disorganized, it seemed the perfect way of phrasing it.
Gods, but it's amazing how simultaneously wonderful/agonizing the Bats can be when they drop the Batty disguise and to thine ownselves are true. OW.
Only in his own head though. Only deep inside his own head. But yes. Owwies.
HA! to the Selina+Timmy exchange. *potentially adds to 12 days of crack pairings.* I loved the Selina voice you captured. It was the perfect mix of warm/seductive/naughty/caring that defines the character for me.
I stressed over Selina... you have NO idea how much. Or how much I adore hearing that you enjoyed her. She's... difficult. Which, of course, is how she should be.
*cries for him.* Ah, such a young little Robin, and yet the feelings of self doubt and loathing start to creep in. Fight it, precious.
Kon'll make it better. Eventually.
I. . . am possibly going to steal that for iconage, I think. It sums up DC so well. Also, it was a gloriously Timmy thought to have. So self aware.
…good point. Can I get sharage on the icon? Yes, it does sum up DC rather well… and well, Tim knows his own head probably too well.
Such a pretty play on words. And it seems appropriately Battish to make an analogy based on knife wounds and gunshot wounds. :)
Thank you. I thought so at the time. Still do, really. It's so much of their lives, after all.
Such pretty smut, too. Such pretty, in character smut.
*delighted purring*
is a glorious mental image, but more importantly, sums up the person that Tim is, the person that Kon is, and how they relate to each other so well.
Thank you. So much. That's about the best thing you could have said to me about this smut, any smut, or my fic in general.
This, again, was wonderful. It captured Kon/Tim perfectly.
*Beaming* Thank you so much.
